Welcome to the eBay stories blog

Welcome to the eBay stories blog.  We created this blog to inform you about new (and not-so-new) eBay.com product and features, to surface some of the fascinating listings we regularly find on the site, and to talk about what we see people searching for every week.

eBay Product Features

We are constantly innovating here at eBay, creating new product features that we think you, our loyal buyers and sellers, will like.  The eBay stories blog contains posts about our products, giving you an overview of how the feature works, and how it can improve your shopping experience.  We would love to hear what you think about our products, both those that are new, and those we have just spiffed up.  We will feature about three product posts per week to start.  Of course, all the product information is archived on this blog, so when you want to check in again to search for it, we are simply a click away from the eBay.com homepage.

eBay Remarkable Listings

You all have heard about something cool that was sold on eBay.  Well, we hear about hundreds of things per week that are interesting, fun, remarkable, and cool.  As the world’s largest marketplace, we always run across remarkable listings, and thought it would be fun to share them.  Every week we feature stories about at least two listings we found on the site, or that people are talking about outside the eBay walls.  We hope you will enjoy our admittedly small editorial selection, and feel free to use the comments to point us to remarkable items you find.

eBay Weekly Search Trends

Every week millions of people come to eBay to search for something.  We give you a glimpse into these search trends every weekend, sharing our thoughts on what we see people looking for on eBay.  We have been doing this for awhile, finding surprising correlations between what people search for on eBay with what is happening in the “real world.”

Of course, we encourage your participation in our comments section.  Ask us questions, give us feedback, or throw out suggestions. We only ask that you keep the comments on topic – if you have questions related to your eBay account, please contact customer support. As much as we love to help, our customer support team is better suited to field those types of inquiries.

    Nan,

  10. naturally like your web site however you need to test the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality on the other hand I will surely come back again.

Thanks for your comment and vote of confidence. If there are any posts that have a spelling error, please let me know in the comments and I would be happy to fix them.

Hi Jefferey: eBay stories does not have its own Twitter or Facebook account, but you will see updates on the main eBay Twitter and the eBay Facebook accounts. You can also subscribe via RSS to the entire site or by category (eBay Products, Remarkable Listings, or Weekly Search Trends), and also subscribe via email. Thanks for reading!

Hi Donna: You can head over to the eBay discussion forums, especially the one called “New to eBay” and post a question to the community. They are a very helpful and friendly bunch. If you are more of a do-it-yourself kind of person, take a look at the eBay Seller Information center, which is filled with great information on getting started selling on eBay. Good luck!
