If you love cars like we do here on eBay Stories, you know we often feature interesting and remarkable finds from eBay Motors. We tend to highlight the more, er, unusual cars found on eBay, from the General Lee to this 1965 Lotus Elan (Series 2) and everything in between. Part of the inspiration to create the eBay Stories blog came from the other blog content already being generated throughout the eBay ecosystem, from eBay Fashion’s Style Stories to the eBay Motors blog. Our mission is to highlight a general sampling of fascinating items that come to our attention, as well as tell you about new eBay product features we think you’d appreciate and enjoy, and more. But if you want to read about a certain category of auction items all the time, you would be wise to subscribe to, bookmark, or simply visit the individual blogs representing those categories.
We are thrilled to let you know about the re-launch and redesign of one of our favorite “sister” blog sites, the eBay Motors blog:
The team at the eBay Motors blog has quite the fun and challenging mission: to guide you to interesting stories, eBay listings, video series, behind-the-scenes access at races, and much more. But the best part for Motors enthusiasts is that they focus exclusively on vehicles, whether it concerns helping you find the right parts, or guiding you through the steps to locate the perfect vehicle for your lifestyle. And don’t even get me started on the cool racing blog posts!
The stories are great fun too, and well worth a look. For example, if you head on over to the blog, there is a great story about this car, a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe:
eBay Motors and Bring-a-Trailer got together to restore the car, and have been talking about it on the Bring a Trailer website (you can read more here). It sounds like a very cool project, take a look at the video to find out more:
But it is not all about restoring vintage cars, as much as I love reading and learning about this secret obsession. You know I will be following the progress of the restoration of the Corvette closely.
As we said, you will also find stories about racing, and even reviews of new cars, such as this one for the 2013 Acura RDX.
