A few days ago we told you about some great auctions to celebrate the New Year, on the post A New Year, a New You (thanks to celebrity support). We wanted to let you know about another auction that has attracted a lot of attention, but that has no bids to date (even though it is ending soon). Take a look at this opportunity to Golf with Bubba Watson in the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open:
The bidding is set to open at $50,000, which might be a bit too rich for most people. But given the number of watchers, we think there might just be some folks waiting in the wings to rush in and bid at the last minute. Only time will tell, but the experience sounds fantastic. Check it out:

In our eBay Stories post last year about Bubba Watson, we told you a bit about the man, from his miraculous shot at the 2012 Masters Open, and his incredibly funny music video as part of the Golf Boys. If you won this experience, you would certainly have a lot to talk about with him, and plenty of time to do it as you played the Pro-Am golf game. And maybe you could even get some tips on how to hit miraculous shots, who knows?
So, what exactly is a Pro-Am? If you have never played golf, you may not have heard the term before, so let us explain briefly. A Pro-Am teams up a professional (the Pro part of Pro-Am) with an amateur (the Am part of Pro-Am, of course). Presumably in this case you are the amateur, while Bubba is the pro.
What makes Bubba a pro is, in part, that he always has tricks up his sleeve. In a profile on pga.com, the golfer describes how he learned the game. “”At home in Bagdad (Fla.) I learned by hitting whiffle balls around trees and cars and curving them around the house.” The reporter concludes, “To be your best, you have to know who you are, your strengths, your weaknesses, and your nature, good and bad. To succeed, you have to play to your strengths in golf and in life. While you can always improve those areas where you are deficient, it won’t be easy and there is no permanent cure. The battle will be ongoing, the demons suppressed but never fully conquered.” Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have a great mentor, coach, or teacher, namely Bubba the pro.
The new year is certainly a time to try new things, reach out for new experiences, and embrace change. Congratulations to all you people out there who have kept to your New Year’s resolutions so far, and to the new moms and dads with their new babies (whether they grow up to be golfers or soccer players, or even CEOs). The New Year is certainly a time of celebration, expectation, transformation, and joy.
And for those of you who would like a little help deciding what experiences to dive into as part of the turn of the year, take a look at eBay’s New Year, New You campaign. Experiences like these come along once in a lifetime, so if you are up for it, get bidding.
If you wait too long, your choices might well disappear before your eyes, like the sun setting into the ocean.

This is so exiting! I’m going to have to check the bidding out!
